Job description

JOB TITLE: ATHLETIC SITE MANAGER - Fall, Middle School

This is a seasonal supplemental: $ 1,800 p/season.

REPORTING RESPONSIBILITY: The Athletic Site Manager is directly responsible to the Middle School's Director of Student Life

GOAL: The Athletic Site Manager will provide site support and supervision at home athletic events 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a seasonal contract consistent with the agreement negotiated with the applicable bargaining unit.

PERSONAL EVALUATION: Evaluation will be based on the performance of responsibilities identified in this position description 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet weekly with the Athletic Director to develop a schedule for site management of all home events, as determined by the Athletic Director.
  • Assist in setting up and taking down the equipment required for events on fields and/or in gymnasiums.
  • Work with opponents and UAHS coaches to create a game "pass list".
  • Greet the opposing teams and officials and direct them to the proper facility and/or locker room.
  • Ensure all event staff have reported and are in designated areas.
  • Gather signatures on contracts for officials and game day workers
  • Turn on the video board and assist volunteers in the pre-game timeline (announcers, spotters, etc.) before the contest starts.
  • Collaborate with gameday productions to fulfill sponsorship responsibilities.
  • Update the athletics social media with game results.
  • Provide visible supervision during the event.
  • Assist district athletes, coaches, and athletic trainers, as well as opposing teams, officials and spectators with any needs that arise related to the specific event being managed.
  • Assist the Athletic Director with office duties as needed for professional growth.
  • Provide for a safe exit of officials, opposing teams, coaches, and spectators from the contest facility.
  • Perform additional duties related to event supervision as assigned by the Athletic Director.
