JOB SUMMARY
  • Responsible for the clinical and clerical support in the physician office. This includes, but is not limited to, patient assessment, vital signs, phlebotomy, urinalysis/body fluid specimens, EKG's, along with documentation, faxing, copying, and mailing records, completion of forms, scheduling of tests for patients; and pre-certifying patient visits/screenings.
  • Clerical support for scheduling/reception of patients, registration, charging and initiation of new records; and maintenance of current records.
  • Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members.
  • Adheres to organizational polices and procedures.

Requirements Include
  • Registered/Certified Medical Assistant required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years clerical and clinical experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with registration, medical records and payors preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
