Position Description
Unload materials from trucks by hand or with hand operated or motorized equipment. Operate hand equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and dollies to facilitate product movement. Operate motor vehicles, motorized forklifts, and motorized pallet jacks to facilitate product movement. Review invoices, purchase orders and/or packing slips to ensure correctness of items and quantities delivered.
Unpack incoming goods, prepares outgoing shipments, and delivers products to end users. Enter information in the inventory and eDocs computer system. Stock and maintain product inventory and all records associated with it.
Participate in physical inventory by counting stock. Clean and organize storeroom.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License.
  • Ability to lift 80lbs.

Additional Requirements
  • Successfully complete forklift training.
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
  • Read English and communicate orally and in writing.
  • 3 months training or 3 months experience in inventory control preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of inventory control, industrial safety practices, and Sheriff's Office policies and procedures. Skill in operation of forklift. Ability to recognize unusual or threatening conditions and take appropriate action. Ability to sort items into categories according to established methods. Ability to work alone on most tasks.
Unusual Working Conditions
Ability to bend, stoop, reach above shoulders and lift heavy objects. Ability to stand, walk and sit for varying periods of time and remain alert and watchful during assigned duty hours. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions as necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Knowledge of supervision of inmates in controlled environment & related safety practices.
