Overview
The Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing inventory levels to ensure efficient operations within our organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of warehouse management processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, analyzing data trends, and collaborating with various departments to enhance inventory control strategies.

Duties

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Responsible for daily inventory reporting across multiple warehouses.
  • Ensures new part numbers are set up within the inventory control system (Acumatica)
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Manages bin location within warehouse and ensure proper stocking levels and inventory counts.
  • Utilize analytics and data visualization tools to analyze inventory trends and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Responsible for daily cycle counting for multiple warehouses (TN, MEC, Milford Center)
  • Implement best practices for inventory control, including proper storage techniques and organization.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and forecasts.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools to present findings effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction across departments.
  • A minimum of 3 years of inventory control experience within a warehouse environment.
  • Acumatica experience a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel software applications. SharePoint a plus.
  • Must be a self-motivated team player with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult with all levels of the workforce
  • Proficiency in data analysis involving inventory counts, root cause analysis, stock counts etc.
