Job description

Tire Freight Handler

Xpedient is a full-service third-party logistics (3PL) provider supporting a diverse client base across warehousing, transportation management, supply chain solutions, order fulfillment, and labor services.

The Tire Freight Handler is responsible for safe and efficient loading, unloading, sorting, and stacking of tires within containers and trailers. This role requires a high level of physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and contributes to maintaining productivity and accuracy across daily operations.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and manually stack tires from containers and trailers onto pallets in accordance with operational standards
  • Utilize proper tire stacking techniques to ensure loads are stable, secure, and safe for transport and storage
  • Sort and stage tires accurately based on shipping and receiving documentation
  • Verify trailer suitability and ensure alignment with load specifications
  • Accurately complete paperwork and maintain precise tire counts
  • Execute daily production schedules as directed by supervisors or site management
  • Operate manual pallet jacks to move pallets safely within the warehouse
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company policies, site procedures, and safety protocols
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs
Safety
  • Adhere to all OSHA and MSDS standards and company safety policies
  • Follow proper lifting techniques and safe material handling practices
  • Report safety concerns, incidents, or hazards promptly
  • Support and promote a culture of safety and accountability on-site
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with warehouse safety procedures and inspections
Minimum Qualifications and Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 70 lbs continuously
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
  • Ability to exert significant physical effort, including core and lower back strength
  • Capability to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete documentation accurately
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and workloads
