Job description

Keep the Foundry Moving

At Amsted Rail–Griffin Wheel, North America’s leader in railroad wheel manufacturing, our Groveport foundry relies on expert mechanics to keep complex systems humming. Picture your shift: you arrive, review the maintenance queue, and move from a precision alignment on a conveyor drive to a diagnostic vibration analysis on a pump, wrapping up with a bearing fit that brings a critical line back to life—all with the confidence of a seasoned millwright.

Where you’ll work and when

Role based at our Groveport foundry. Openings on the afternoon shift (3pm to 11pm) or the night shift (11pm to 7am).

What you’ll do
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, dismantle, and reassemble industrial machinery and equipment with exacting precision to avoid introducing strain into mechanical systems.
  • Align machinery and systems; perform precision fits on bearings, gears, shafts, motors, and couplings.
  • Interpret blueprints and apply both electrical and mechanical design concepts to real-world equipment.
  • Work across material-handling technologies including conveyors (bulk and unit), carousels, ASRS, and monorails.
  • Service and rebuild pumps, valves, and seals; perform vibration analysis to diagnose root causes.
  • Handle materials safely, follow SDS guidance, and champion safety procedures for yourself and your team.
  • Weld and fabricate as needed to support equipment reliability.
What you bring
  • 3 to 5 years of verifiable experience in industrial maintenance/millwright work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to successfully complete screening and skills tests prior to interviewing.
Compensation & benefits

Start at $40.04 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
