Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
  • Responsible in delivering home-delivered meals to clients throughout our community:
  • Transport meals to assigned recipients; complete route list and daily report as required; properly care for, clean, and return equipment as requir
    ed.
  • Count and turn in contributions as required.
  • Assist in kitchen with packaging of hot and cold food items as required.
  • Use electronic thermometer to record meal temperatures.
  • Keep agency vehicles, delivery bags and other equipment clean at all times.
  • Must understand and communicate the mission of the Licking County Aging Program's Meals on Wheels program and abide by established guidelines.
  • Other duties as required.

Salary Range: $14.00-$20.76 dependent on relevant previous experience)
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to use an iPad and be able to follow direction.
  • Must have empathy for and understanding of the needs of the elderly, impoverished and developmentally disabled.
  • Must be in good physical health, good personal hygiene and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May require standing for more than one hour, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, reaching above your head, good range of motion in neck, good manual dexterity and coordination, stair climbing, and climbing in and out of a vehicle. Exposure to adverse climatic conditions both inside homes and in the outdoor environment is probable.
  • Must attend all trainings as scheduled.
  • Must follow state and local health department guidelines which apply to the job.
  • Dependable transportation for meal delivery required. Personal vehicle must be kept clean since being used for food delivery.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for liability insurance purposes if driving a company vehicle. Two years driving experience required. No major convictions in last five years.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License is required, as well as at least the minimum auto insurance coverage for Ohio (must be able to provide proof upon request)
