Job description

BWC's core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments.  Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC's seven offices across the state.  BWC offers flextime work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining ETL pipelines using SQL, Python, and cloud data-warehouse tools.

  • Work collaboratively with our data engineers, architects, and analysts to translate business questions into actionable data solutions.

  • Participate in the design and development of AI/ML solutions, supporting our data scientists with model preparation and evaluation.

  • Support data modeling activities, including applying normalization and denormalization concepts under the guidance of senior team members.

  • Perform data cleaning and preprocessing by identifying and resolving data quality concerns, handling missing values, and preparing datasets for modeling and analysis.

  • Analyze large datasets: clean, transform, and interpret substantial volumes of structured and unstructured data using tools like Python and SQL.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT and business units, to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.

  • Communicate insights by creating visualizations and reports to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Projected Schedule:
A maximum of 29 hours per week. The schedule is flexible and will fall between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday.

Qualifications:
Must currently be enrolled in an accredited higher education program majoring in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Software), Economics or Business Analytics
