Job description

ITTConnect is seeking a BA / Financial Analyst to work for one of our clients. This is a new contract position with a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services present in nearly 50 countries. The end client is in the Utilities/Energy sector.

Job location: Columbus, OH. Job is hybrid, 2-3 days a week onsite as needed. This is also open to Cincinnati, Dayton, and neighboring areas; the hybrid work can be flexible if necessary, depending on distance.

The Business Analyst will support efforts to transform financial management practices, specifically in the IT area of the client. Responsibilities: Financial Analysis and Reporting: Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficient in preparing detailed financial reports and variance analyses.

Asset Management: Experience in managing financials at the asset level, including tracking depreciation and valuation. Knowledge of capital budgeting and asset lifecycle management. Accounting Principles: Experience in setting up and maintaining proper accounting structures.

Benchmarking and Performance Metrics: Conducting benchmarking studies to compare financial performance against industry peers. Ability to analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics. Project Management in Finance: Leading financial transformation projects and initiatives.

Experience in driving improvements in financial processes and accuracy. Requirements Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex financial data and trends. Proficient in financial modeling and scenario analysis.

Forecasting skills: Expertise in developing accurate financial forecasts and budgeting processes. Ability to utilize historical data to inform future projections. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.

Ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial records. Strategic Financial Thinking: Ability to think strategically about financial planning and cost allocation. Skills in developing long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in financial analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, financial modeling software). Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI) for presenting financial data effectively. Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills for conveying financial insights to stakeholders
