Saint Agatha School, located at 1880 Northam Road in Columbus, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Fourth Grade Teacher for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing a Christ-centered education that supports the spiritual, academic, and social growth of students. We are seeking a teacher who has a strong understanding of elementary education, particularly in the areas of math, science, and social studies, and a deep commitment to fostering Catholic values in the classroom.
Requirements:
  • Hold an appropriate Ohio Teaching License (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach
  • Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks
  • Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to create a Christ-centered learning environment
  • Candidate must complete an online teaching application with the Diocese of Columbus

Job Responsibilities:
  • Teach Fourth and Fifth Grade Math, Science, Social Studies, and Health
  • Integrate Catholic teachings and virtues throughout the curriculum
  • Assist students in growing spiritually, academically, and emotionally
  • Use varied assessments to inform instruction and ensure student learning
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, parents, and administrators to support student development

Religious Education certification as required by the diocese
RESPONSIBLE TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: To assist students in mastering the skills and information in the school curriculum while helping them to grow in faith and responsibility.
