Job description

Compensation: $86,843.40
The Enterprise Resource Planning Project Manager (ERP PM) in the Columbus State Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) utilizes their skills and experience to provide leadership in delivering projects that support the further development of the College ERP System. This role leads teams from inception to successful delivery of projects that support the enhancement of college business operations and student success initiatives. This position requires the ability to develop, plan, execute, control and close projects related to the College ERP system. The ERP PM coordinates and leads a set of stakeholders (both internal teams and external vendors) to continue the expansion and refinement of the college ERP system.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Project Management
  • Manages multiple concurrent ERP support projects from initiation to project closure, ensuring that project scope, budget and customer expectations are met.
  • Assists with the review of project requests from the campus community and in building the business case that can be used to determine project alignment with college strategic plan and priorities.
  • Identifies required project resources in consultation with project sponsors and business leads to ensure the adequate level of effort has been estimated to effectively plan and execute the project.
  • Ensures appropriate testing/quality assurance is completed for assigned projects.
  • Tracks project budget and manages project expenses.
  • Adequately estimates tasks and project timeline throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Breaks deliverables down into tasks and develops relationships/ dependencies. Develops project charters in collaboration with project sponsors and business leads.
  • Reviews deliverables in project charter and facilitates the creation of project deliverables.
  • Identifies the need for resources external resources (i.e., equipment, software, subject matter expertise).

Continuous Process Improvement
  • Assists with developing project management templates for use at the college.
  • Contributes to college project management methodology and college project management tools.
  • Advocates for college-wide adoption and supports a PM culture that is congruent with the culture of the college.
  • Works with project teams to understand 'as is' business process and identifies gaps from current state to future desired state.
  • Works with project team to create work breakdown structures.
  • Participates in various project governance teams to assist in project review and prioritization processes.

Reporting & Analysis
  • Identifies project issues that require resolution and manages issue tracking/reporting.
  • Prioritizes issues and escalates effectively as needed.
  • Facilitates risk identification, analyzes risks and prepares project risk register.
  • Collaborates with project team to determine risk response plans.
  • Assists with drafting key project decision documents and performs basic impact analysis.
  • Completes and maintains required documentation.
  • Responsible for analyzing and maintaining accurate records.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages multiple assignments of varying complexity and meets tight timelines and deadlines, with the ability to adapt to changing needs of the College and business partners.
  • Ensures College name and image is perceived positively by external as well as internal audience/stakeholders.
  • Hours may include working outside of a normal workweek schedule as needed to meet workload demands.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Progressively responsible experience in project management, leading projects from idea through implementation and close out.* An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework and experience may qualify a candidate.
