Job description

Position: Commercial Data Center Mover, Entry level
Location: Columbus, OH
Company: Planes Moving amp; Storage Company
Compensation: $18 to $20 an hour
Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Commercial Data Center Mover. In this role, you will support critical operations including the delivery, installation, decommissioning, and migration of data server racks. This is a hands-on position in fast-paced data center environments that requires attention to detail, disciplined execution, patience in complex tasks, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely load, transport, secure, and unload server racks and equipment
  • Perform rack installations, decommissions, and migration services
  • Uncrate and re-crate servers and position racks within data centers
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and moving tools
  • Secure loads properly in trailers using straps and safety procedures
  • Maintain clean work areas, trailers, and loading docks
  • Follow all safety protocols and immediately report hazards
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and dispatch
  • Follow direction from the Rack Lead or Supervisor
  • Attend required training sessions
Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (50+ lbs)
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
  • Must be punctual and dependable
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
Qualifications (Preferred)
  • Experience in moving, logistics, warehouse, or data center work
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
  • Experience handling technical equipment or server rack
Expectations
  • Communicate work availability at least 24 hours in advance
  • Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts
  • Maintain a professional attitude with clients and team members
  • Wear required PPE at all times (helmet, gloves, safety vest, steel-toe/composite boots)
  • Comply with all company and client policies
Requirements:
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment requirements such as client specific background check..
