Role: CDL B Driver

Location: Columbus, OH

Shift: 1st Shift (5 am - 5 pm)


Domain (High): Screen for certified commercial-driving capability first — require a valid Class B CDL and DOT eligibility/medical clearance. Prefer candidates with recent Class B driving experience (municipal/sanitation/refuse, local delivery, construction/utility hauling) and experience operating in tight residential/commercial environments; drivers from adjacent trucking/delivery roles are acceptable if they have comparable vehicle-size experience.

- Prior hands-on experience operating Class B commercial vehicles in residential and commercial environments — must have previously driven routes that required safe maneuvering in high-traffic and tight driving conditions and delivered required pickups/drop-offs. (No specific years required by the JD; entry-level acceptable.) - Experience transporting and handling residential and commercial waste or similar bulk materials — responsible for safe loading, securing, transporting, and unloading while following company safety procedures and achieving on-time route completion. - Experience performing DOT-compliance activities while supporting multi-site operations — e.g., completing vehicle pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintaining required logs/records, and traveling between office and job locations to support operations (JD does not specify a minimum duration of this experience).

Shift or schedule requirements: 1st Shift (5 AM – 5 PM). Flexible scheduling required including overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Requirements
- Commercial motor-vehicle operation & control: pre‑trip/post‑trip inspection, air‑brake checks, precision backing and maneuvering in tight/high‑traffic residential and commercial areas. - DOT/regulatory safety compliance: practical knowledge of FMCSA/DOT requirements (vehicle inspection, hours‑of‑service awareness, documentation) and safe driving practices under those rules. - Waste collection & load handling: safe loading/unloading, securement and operation of basic waste-collection equipment/compaction procedures used with Class B vehicles.



  • Valid Class B CDL required
  • Valid DOT or ability to obtain prior to hire
  • Must be at least 19 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years and no disqualifying DUI/OVI offenses
