Job Title: Concrete Laborer Job Category: Entry-Level Company: Knox Concrete ConstructionPay: $18 - $32 per hour, based on experienceJob OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and hardworking Concrete Laborer to join our team. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work and overtime opportunities. Start times may vary, including early mornings (as early as 6:00 AM).Employees become eligible for benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k) after completing a 90-day probationary period.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment at all timesIdentify and report hazards or unsafe behavior to the Foreman or Crew LeaderAssist with mixing, pouring, and finishing concreteTransport materials, tools, and equipment across job sitesDirect traffic and maintain safe work zones when requiredOperate hand tools and power tools such as jackhammers, drills, and sawsBuild, set, and dismantle concrete formsClean and prepare job sites to eliminate hazardsLoad and unload construction materials and distribute as neededAssist skilled tradesmen including finishers, crew leaders, and supervisorsMaintain and clean tools, equipment, and machineryPerform general labor tasks including digging, backfilling, leveling, and compactingQualificationsMinimum 3 years of construction experience preferredAbility to obtain OSHA 10 certification and First Aid certificationStrong work ethic and reliabilityEffective communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentExperience using hand tools and power toolsValid US Drivers LicensePhysical RequirementsAbility to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including heat over 100°FAbility to stand, bend, stoop, and twist throughout the workdayAbility to lift and carry at least 40 lbsStrong physical stamina, coordination, and manual dexterityWhat We're Looking ForDependability: Consistent attendance is critical to team successAttention to Detail: Ability to complete tasks accurately with minimal supervisionTeamwork: Willingness to work collaboratively and maintain a positive attitudeStress Tolerance: Ability to perform in physically demanding and high-pressure environmentsWillingness to Learn: Exposure to multiple trades including concrete, carpentry, and site work
