The Director Institutional Effectiveness for the Mount Carmel College of Nursing
Position Purpose:
The Director of Institutional Effectiveness leads assessment, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts within the College in support of academic and operational excellence, accreditation/regulatory compliance, and mission achievement.
This position will require strong data analytics skills and leadership experience in higher education.
Job and Technical Competencies
  • Provides effective leadership for College-wide assessment, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement efforts to support College and MCHS mission and strategic goal achievement.

  • Leader of the accreditation, compliance, and professional issues landscape and conveys key information to College leaders, faculty, staff, and students, as appropriate.

  • Develops and maintains College assessment and evaluation plans with input from the President, Academic Dean, Faculty Councils, College Assembly, and Evaluation/CQI Committee.

  • Leads the President and College Board of Trustees in developing, monitoring, and evaluating the College's strategic plan and Enterprise Resource Plan

  • Identifies and implements monitoring of key performance indicators of College academic and operational health.

  • Assists the President and Director of Finance with budget planning, analysis, and evaluation.

  • Directs the collection, analysis, and reporting of assessment and evaluation data to both internal and external constituents. Coordinates institutional research and regular public reporting efforts with Enrollment & Student Services.

  • Prepares and administers official College surveys to both internal and external constituents.

  • Ensures the integrity and security of institutional data by adopting best-practice approaches to data collection, extraction, analysis, reporting, organization, and storage.

  • Devises and maintains up-to-date policies and procedures for assessment and evaluation.

  • Meets population specific and all other competencies according to department requirements.

  • Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in place to prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree or PhD (or equivalent research doctorate).

  • Experience: Five or more years of experience with evaluation in higher education; institutional effectiveness, institutional research.

  • Effective communication and leadership skills

  • Expertise in qualitative data, survey design, higher education administration, and accreditation

  • Advanced knowledge in developing student learning outcomes, program reviews, managing committee reviews and approvals, writing strategic plans
