BHT (Behavioral Health Technician) - Day Shift
Pay: $16-18
Location: Pickerington, OH
Shifts Available: Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) 3 x 12 and every other weekend rotation
About Solero Behavioral Transitions
Solero Behavioral Transitions offers a safe, structured environment for adults managing substance use and mental health challenges. As a dual diagnosis outpatient program, we provide integrated treatment for individuals with primary substance use or mental health disorders.
Responsibilities include:
  • Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Monitor patients for behavioral, psychiatric, medical, and withdrawal-related changes; report concerns to the RN.
  • Perform routine clinical tasks such as vital signs, blood glucose checks, and withdrawal observations (CIWA/COWS).
  • Maintain patient safety through frequent rounding, observation, searches, and visitor monitoring.
  • Assist with admissions, patient orientation, and discharge processes.
  • Facilitate and document therapeutic group activities focused on recovery and coping skills.
  • Respond effectively to crisis situations using de-escalation and intervention techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic milieu in accordance with facility policies.
  • Communicate professionally and collaboratively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be 21 or older
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Behavioral Health field is a plus.
  • Demonstration of group facilitation skills, knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and treatments.
  • Crisis intervention skills. Handle with Care training/certification preferred, but will train.
