Job description

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a 1st Shift Packer in our Columbus, OH distribution center.
As a Kimball Midwest associate, you'll be part of a company built on long-term growth and strong values. Responsibilities:
* Packaging parts.
* Lifts waist to waist and carries up to 50 pounds.
* Input accurate product information into computer.
* Fills box with parts until proper weight is indicated and affixes labels to boxes
* Packs boxes onto shelf boxes
* Visually inspects all merchandise for quality and checks for any defects or bad plating.
* Accurately packages merchandise while maintaining a high production level.
* Documents quality standards including product accuracy, labeling quality, and country of origin accuracy.
Qualifications:
* Ability to read and write small letters and numbers
* Follow and understand written and oral instructions.
* Computer skill are preferred
* Concentrate and to communicate with management and co-workers.
* Lift objects weighing fifty (50) pounds waist to waist.
* Push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds.
* Walk and stand on concrete floors for long periods of time.
* This position requires the ability to frequently bend and twist the back.
* This position requires the ability to finely manipulate and grip objects.
* This position requires the ability to squat and reach.
Additional Information:
This position pays $18 per hour. Plus $200 BONUS opportunities.
The hours are Monday-Friday, 5:30 am to 2:00 pm.
