Job Title: DataStage Developer
Job Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 3-Months (Contract to Hire)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of ETL processes using IBM DataStage
- Manage and mentor a team of DataStage developers, providing guidance and support on best practices and technical issues.
- Collaborate with business analysts, DBAs, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical specifications.
- Developer and maintain complex ETL jobs, data pipelines and transformations.
- Optimize ETL processes for performance scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, providing timely solutions and documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Assist in planning and execution of data migration and integration projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years' experience leading and managing ETL development projects and teams.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and database design.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Experience with version control )e.g., GIT, SVN.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
