Job Title: Communications / Change Analyst - Customer Transformation (3-Year Contract)
Location: Columbus, OH
Work Model: Remote with required travel to Columbus once every 3 weeks for 3 days onsite
Rate: $40–$50/hour
Contract Term: Immediate start – approximately 3 years
Employment Type: W-2 Only

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Communications Analyst to support a multi-year Customer Transformation Program. This role will provide hands-on communications, engagement, meeting support, content development, coordination, and light analytics support for program leadership.

The Communications Analyst will play a key role in keeping program stakeholders informed, engaged, and connected through weekly newsletters, monthly town halls, lunch and learn sessions, recognition activities, engagement events, scorecards, and quarterly surveys. This role is ideal for someone with a communications, change management, employee engagement, or project coordination background who enjoys creating materials, facilitating meetings, coordinating stakeholders, and driving follow-through.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can manage recurring communications cadences, create polished materials, coordinate speakers and events, analyze engagement data, and support program leadership with executive summaries, staffing-related materials, and other program communication needs.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Communications Support
  • Develop, coordinate, and distribute recurring communications for the Customer Transformation Program.

  • Own or support the weekly program newsletter, including content planning, drafting, editing, formatting, approvals, and distribution.

  • Ensure communications are clear, timely, professional, and aligned to program priorities.

  • Partner with program leadership, workstream leads, change resources, and stakeholders to gather updates and convert them into concise, audience-appropriate messaging.

  • Help maintain a consistent communication cadence across the program.

Town Hall Planning & Facilitation Support
  • Plan and support the monthly 30-minute program town hall.

  • Develop agendas, presentation materials, talking points, reminders, and follow-up communications.

  • Coordinate with speakers, leaders, and contributors to prepare content in advance.

  • Support facilitation, meeting flow, Q&A coordination, attendance tracking, and post-meeting follow-up.

  • Help ensure town halls are engaging, informative, and aligned to program milestones and employee needs.

Lunch and Learn Series Coordination
  • Manage the weekly lunch and learn series for the program.

  • Identify potential topics that align with program priorities, employee engagement, learning needs, and transformation objectives.

  • Coordinate speakers, prepare materials, schedule sessions, send invitations, and manage reminders.

  • Track attendance and collect feedback as needed.

  • Support session logistics, presentation readiness, and follow-up materials.

Engagement, Wellbeing & Event Support
  • Support the program’s wellbeing and fun committee, which includes representatives from NiSource, Accenture, and third-party partners.

  • Help coordinate monthly engagement events and wellbeing activities.

  • Support planning for activities such as stretching or movement sessions, cultural celebrations, giveaways, recognition events, milestone celebrations, and other engagement-focused programming.

  • Coordinate logistics, schedules, materials, communications, and stakeholder participation for engagement events.

  • Help plan larger program milestone celebrations as major implementation dates approach.

Recognition Program Support
  • Support the program recognition process through Microsoft Teams and related engagement channels.

  • Help maintain the program’s recognition channel and promote use of the Teams Praise app.

  • Track recognition activity and support visibility during town halls.

  • Coordinate recognition drawings, spin-the-wheel activities, award tracking, and gift card distribution.

  • Look for ways to keep recognition simple, visible, consistent, and meaningful across the program.

Engagement Scorecards & Survey Support
  • Maintain program engagement scorecards, including attendance tracking for lunch and learns, town halls, engagement events, and related activities.

  • Support quarterly engagement surveys, including coordination, communication, response tracking, and results analysis.

  • Analyze survey results and summarize key themes, trends, participation levels, and improvement opportunities.

  • Partner with leadership to identify practical ways to improve engagement based on survey feedback.

  • Prepare scorecard updates and engagement insights for program leadership.

Program Leadership Support
  • Provide general communications and coordination support for program leadership.

  • Assist with executive summaries, sponsor updates, leadership materials, and program-wide messaging.

  • Support development of materials related to staffing plans, future phases of work, engagement strategy, and program readiness.

  • Help organize information, track action items, and prepare concise updates for leadership review.

  • Support ad hoc communication, change, engagement, and program coordination needs as they arise.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Draft and coordinate weekly program newsletters.

  • Prepare materials for monthly town halls and weekly lunch and learn sessions.

  • Identify lunch and learn topics, coordinate speakers, schedule sessions, and send reminders.

  • Support engagement committee meetings and monthly employee engagement activities.

  • Track attendance, engagement activity, recognition participation, and survey results.

  • Update engagement scorecards and summarize insights for leadership.

  • Prepare PowerPoint materials, email communications, Teams posts, agendas, and follow-up notes.

  • Coordinate with program leaders, workstream leads, speakers, and stakeholders to gather content and confirm next steps.

  • Support executive summaries, sponsor updates, staffing-related materials, and other program communications.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in communications, change management, employee engagement, project coordination, program support, internal communications, or a related role.

  • Strong writing, editing, formatting, and message-development skills.

  • Experience creating newsletters, presentations, meeting materials, stakeholder updates, or employee communications.

  • Experience coordinating recurring meetings, events, learning sessions, town halls, or engagement activities.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recurring workstreams and deadlines.

  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder coordination skills.

  • Ability to create clear, polished materials using PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

  • Ability to track attendance, survey results, engagement metrics, actions, and follow-up items.

  • Comfort analyzing light engagement data and summarizing trends or recommendations.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and support leaders in a fast-paced program environment.

  • Ability to travel to Columbus, OH once every 3 weeks for 3 onsite days.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large transformation programs, technology programs, customer transformation initiatives, or enterprise change initiatives.

  • Communications or change management experience in a utility, energy, consulting, technology, or corporate program environment.

  • Experience supporting employee engagement committees, recognition programs, town halls, newsletters, or culture-building activities.

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Teams Praise app, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Forms, or similar collaboration tools.

  • Experience developing engagement scorecards, survey summaries, participation reports, or leadership dashboards.

  • Familiarity with change management principles, stakeholder engagement, communications planning, or adoption support.

  • Experience supporting executive communications, sponsor updates, or leadership-facing materials.
