DIS-TRAN Steel, located in Washington Court House, OH, is looking for experienced PREP Welders to join our team on Days.
 
PREP Welders must be capable of performing all welds needed on our structures and must understand instructions given in regard to the welds.  This individual must be able to perform duties with speed and accuracy in order to produce a quality product and keep a steady flow through the facility.  This position will frequently use calculating skills, by tape measure or other device.  This position will use other moving machinery or equipment, including cranes, in order to manipulate steel structures.

Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits.
Positions, aligns, and welds parts to form complete structures, following blueprints and layout specifications, using machinery, welding torches, and hand tools.
Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
Examines steel or workpieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.
Moves parts safely into position; manually or with hoists or cranes.
 High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
 Ability to interpret blueprints required.
 Ability to read a tape measure required.
 Welding certification or prior welding experience preferred; GMAW experience preferred.
 Certifications or prior experience using moving machinery, such as cranes, preferred.
 Must pass a site weld test.
