Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a PET/CT-focused role requiring ARRT or NMTCB certification and Ohio state licensure.

Details
  • Hospital and clinic-based Nuclear Medicine department
  • Daily caseload of approximately 33 PET/CT scans, primarily oncology cases
  • Imaging includes whole-body FDG, brain, cardiac, and neuroendocrine studies
  • Utilizes 2 Siemens PET/CT scanners
  • Monday–Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts and varying start times (6:00 AM–9:30 AM); flexibility required
  • Optional 10-hour shifts available during holiday weeks
  • 1 evening shift and 1 Saturday shift required per month
  • Federal holidays off
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in PET/CT and General Nuclear Medicine
  • ARRT (R) or NMTCB certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Ohio state license required (license required if applicable)
  • Inpatient and outpatient experience required
  • Experience with IV starts and PACS
  • Skills in myocardial imaging, adenosine and Persantine infusion, pharmacological stress testing, and exercise/rest studies (single and multiple)
  • Brain scan and cerebral blood flow imaging experience
  • Whole body and limited tumor localization experience
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Additional Information
  • Perform PET/CT scans including oncology, cardiac, brain, and neuroendocrine imaging studies
  • Start and maintain IVs as part of daily patient care
  • Supportive team environment with a steady weekday schedule
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Scrubs are not provided; grey scrubs preferred
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Required time off must be submitted and built into the contract prior to starting, limited to 7 days or less
  • Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable as second reference; coworker references not accepted
  • Former employees eligible for travel assignments after 6 months away from the facility
  • Current employees are not eligible for travel assignments at this facility
  • Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict credentialing timelines
