Overview
Radiation Therapist (Radiation Therapy Tech) travel assignment in Lancaster, OH, United States. Start date: 09/08/2026 for 8 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Work setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Travel – Temporary Assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Weekly pay: $2,528–$2,604.

Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed radiotherapy treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Obtain patient history, answer questions, explain procedures, and observe for reactions during treatment.
- Coordinate with physicists and the care team; schedule treatments and maintain safety and quality standards.
- Verify prescriptions, diagnoses, chart accuracy, and patient identification prior to treatment.
- Prepare treatment room and equipment; position and transfer immobilized patients with attention to safety and comfort.
- Provide patient education on treatment effects and care of the irradiated area; reinforce physician and nurse recommendations.
- Perform verification and port film exposures; adjust therapy as directed by the physician.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in radiography with certification in radiation therapy; Bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy preferred.
- Licensure/Certifications: State of Ohio licensed radiation therapist; ARRT license; CPR certified. Ohio Department of Health license preferred upon submission.
- Experience: 1–2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred.
- Credentials: ARRT certification; active licensure as applicable; current CPR.
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and in a travel assignment environment; good communication and multitasking skills.
