About George Junior Republic:

Established in 1992, Preventative Aftercare is committed to keeping families together by providing quality home based services to at-risk children, youth, adolescents and their families in their homes, schools and communities.

Position Overview:

We are looking for Intensive in-home Mental Health Workers and Mental Health Professionals for Franklin County, OH.

The incumbent must speak Napali. Final candidates will be tested for literacy, fluency, numeracy, etc.

George Junior Republic Preventative Aftercare is committed to assisting families in establishing safety, permanency, stability and well-being. This distinct, mobile position will provide intensive services and trauma informed care to a caseload of seven to ten families referred throughout the county for Children & Youth Services and/or Juvenile Probation. Services will be provided within the community, schools and homes. Evidence based practices and various treatment modalities will be utilized to engage families. Collaboration with schools, mental health agencies, substance abuse services, public assistance programs and other community support organizations is a priority for this position.

Requirements:

  • Mental Health Worker: Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. A minimum of two years' experience in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Mental Health Professional: Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Professional licensure preferred
  • Must live in/near the county
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation
  • Act 33/34 clearances and FBI clearances
  • Able to work a non-traditional schedule to provide 24-hour crisis intervention
