This position is 100% on-site with no options for remote work

Schedule:Includes daytime, evening, and weekend work totaling approximately 40 hours per week.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for growing the Credit Union by increasing the number of Members and the number of products and services for Members, Preferred Employer Groups (PEGs), and with the communities BMI FCU serves. Responsible for identifying, generating, and supporting new Members, PEGs, and soliciting in target markets by maximizing visibility and providing Member satisfaction. Provide friendly, professional, support, and monitor the implementation of growth opportunities and responsive service while representing BMI FCU. This position backs-up other functions within Business Development.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Provide on-site support for PEGs through personal visits, telephone calls, and correspondence and keep representatives supplied with the materials they need to inform their employees about the credit union
  • Support PEGs and community groups at their:
    • Orientations
    • Benefit fairs
    • Lunch and learns
    • Charitable events
  • Educate prospective and current members about products and services that BMI FCU offers; cross-sell
  • Maintain up-to-date data files and initiatives on all employer and community groups through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Work with the Financial Education Specialist regarding trends and needs of PEGs related to financial wellness issues
  • Provide recommendations and feedback on financial wellness content and efforts at employer and community groups
  • Assist in planning and coordinating events for PEGs and events in the community
  • Prepare monthly reports outlining PEG program activities and expenses
  • Represent the Credit Union at employer, community and charitable events; assist in planning and implementing appropriate activities at these events; transport related materials and supplies to such events as needed
  • Partner with Marketing and the Business Development Coordinator to design and produce recruitment pieces to increase membership with existing PEGs
  • Assist the VP of Business & Community Development in researching and soliciting new PEGs as potential credit union partners
  • Assist with the development of new opportunities to deliver actionable strategic initiatives
  • Serve as a liaison between the Credit Union and PEGs to resolve problems or situations that arise
  • Backup VP of Business & Community Development as required
WORK ENVIRONMENT

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Finance, Communications, or related field preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience; a viable combination of experience and education will be considered
  • A clean driving record, reliable transportation, valid driverโ€™s license, and proof of auto insurance required
  • Ability to work a varied work schedule (some early mornings, late nights, and weekend hours)
  • Knowledge of financial industry products, services, and policies
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with promotions, products, and services
  • Skill in customer service and sales strategy
  • Skill in oral presentations
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize, plan, meet deadlines, and follow through

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
