The Creative Director plays a pivotal role in shaping how Central's story is told-bringing strategy, imagination, and purpose together to inspire audiences and drive meaningful business results. This leader transforms insights into powerful creative experiences that elevate the brand across every touchpoint, from immersive campaigns and digital experiences to events and storytelling content. As the champion of creative excellence, the Creative Director empowers and develops a talented team, partners across the organization, and pushes creative boundaries to ensure Central's brand is not only consistent and compelling-but bold, relevant, and impactful in a constantly evolving marketplace.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
Creative Strategy:
  • Lead Central's creative strategy to reach business objectives-connecting data and design to develop creative assets that align with Central's overarching business strategy
  • Translate business insights into actionable tactics to fuel the distribution organization and elevate the Central brand across its target audiences
  • Oversee the development and execution of a variety of creative projects across channels-from creative brief, to production, approval, and delivery (e.g. brand communication, agent events, email marketing, website development, integrated marketing campaigns, social media (paid and earned), blogs, video, photography and print collateral)
  • Monitor and report on the performance of creative and event assets in correlation to business outcomes to iterate and improve content effectiveness
  • Collaborate with marketing, event, and sales teams to ensure brand consistency across digital, print and in-person experiences
  • Prepare and communicate the creative budget to effectively support targeted expense ratio

Team Management:
  • Fostering a culture of creativity and ideation within the organization, encouraging team members to think outside the box
  • Lead and grow the talent of the creative team, improving their skillset, demanding excellence in their work and holding each team member accountable for their contributions
  • Provide an effective process for performance management and development that provides measurable goals, clear expectations and solid direction to each team member
  • Manage external consultants, including but not limited to the company's creative agency, videographers, photographers and freelancers as necessary
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer behavior shifts to inform strategic decisions
  • Continuously exploring new creative techniques, tools, and technologies to enhance the organization's creative capabilities

Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field and 6 years of related experience including 2 years of management experience
  • Or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field and 8 years of related experience including 2 years of management experience
  • Or 10 years of related experience including 2 years of management experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in executing cross-channel marketing strategies
  • Proficient in UX/UI design principles
  • Experience with high-level branding and management of concepting projects
  • Expertise in coaching and mentoring designers, videographers, photographers, writers and content creators
  • Experience in HubSpot Sales & Marketing Hubs
  • Experience in Builder.io

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team building, and conflict resolution
  • Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring
  • Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop)
  • Ability to rapidly learn company objectives, marketing platforms, and project management tools to accelerate team alignment and execution
  • Ability to think and act strategically and tactically
  • Ability to consistently generate strategic content ideas and an understanding of how to use tools that can improve content creation efficiency
  • Proven ability to communicate messaging and priorities clearly and effectively to all levels of staff
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: highly collaborative with ability to build solid working partnerships across functional groups
  • Creative thinking, critical analysis, and problem-solving skills, along with flexibility/adaptability are essential
  • Strong management skills with an affinity for producing consistently high-quality work with a targeted objective
  • Ability to understand Central Insurance's policies and processes
  • Ability to juggle multiple events at once in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Ability to travel to Central offices and events as required
