Job description

CNC Machinist

Advance CNC Machining – 2nd Shift (Mon-Thurs 4:00 pm-2:30 am)

Up to $35/hour DOE

We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists who are enjoyable to work with, demonstrate strong technical competency, take ownership of their work, and produce high-quality precision parts to help our growing $20 million company keep pace with rapidly rising demand.

At Advance CNC Machining, we specialize in producing high precision machined parts for customers from coast to coast including equipment manufacturers, food, drug and the aerospace and defense industries. We believe in getting the right people in the right seats so we can fulfill our mission to create more opportunities for our families and our neighbors.

What You’ll Do

As our experienced CNC Machinist, you’ll bring technical designs to life with a desire to provide precise craftsmanship- while modeling the accountability, commitment, and humility that define our culture.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting technical drawings and blueprints to understand part geometry, features, and tolerances.
  • Operating multiple Makino 4 & 5-Axis CNC milling machine centers, many with the help of automation.
  • Loading raw materials, securing workpieces, changing tools, and making offsets for efficient and accurate machining.
  • Inspecting and measuring finished parts using calipers, micrometersCMM, and other precision tools.
  • Reviewing and understanding CMM reports to verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Completing inspection and production reports to ensure documentation and workflow accuracy.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Compensation package includes:

  • 401k plan with a generous 100% employer matchup to $5,200 per year
  • 80 hours of paid time off (PTO) your first year, increasing annually up to 200 hours.
  • 6 paid holidays
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, accident, and disability insurance coverage options
  • Christmas bonus opportunity
  • Other bonus opportunities

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for production team members with the aptitude, willingness, and proactivity to excel in a growing manufacturing environment.

The skills needed:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and CMM data, including GD&T.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and more.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude with a problem‑solver mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to collaborate with programmers, quality inspectors, and fellow machinists.
  • proactive, selfdriven work style with the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction.
  • Experience operating 4-5 axis Makino machines is a strong plus.

 Why Advance CNC?

We’re a refreshingly different, growing company of 50+ team members where ordinary people do extraordinary things.

  • We value humility, determination, and teamwork.
  • We invest in leading-edge technology and taking care of people.
  • We’re committed to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Here, your work directly supports the success of our customers and our company.
