General Responsibilities
- Successfully operate a range of earthwork and utility equipment, including:
- Track hoes & Backhoes
- Track Loaders & Wheel Loaders
- Bulk and Finish Grade Dozer (with or without GPS guidance)
- Scrapers and Off-Road Dump Trucks
- Compactors (pad foot and smooth drum)
- Other Misc. Equipment (water trucks, skid steers, tractors)
- Daily inspection of equipment for damages or safety issues
- Maintain and clean operator station and tracks on daily basis.
- Prestart oil/fluid level checks and monitoring of temp/pressure gauges throughout shift. Report any defects to foreman and/or maintenance dept.
- Ensure safe working conditions are maintained and follow safe operating procedures as outlined by operation manual and supervisor
- Perform other tasks as directed by site foreman.

Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to/from various job sites around the Columbus area
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures of various types of equipment
- Knowledge of layout staking, grades, and benchmarks
- Ability to maintain a high level of awareness and operate in a safe manner at all times
- Ability to retain and apply information and instructions provided by the site foreman
- OSHA 10 Hour and knowledge of safe working procedures in sitework and trenching applications
