Chassis Design Engineer

Location: Raymond, OH

Job Summar

yWe are seeking an experienced Chassis Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Raymond, OH. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive chassis design and strong expertise in CATIA for developing and releasing high-quality chassis components. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, validate, and optimize chassis systems that meet performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability requirements

.Key Responsibilitie

  • sDesign and develop chassis components and assemblies using CATIA V5/V6
  • .Create 3D models, 2D drawings, GD&T, and engineering documentation
  • .Collaborate with CAE, manufacturing, suppliers, and vehicle integration teams throughout the product development cycle
  • .Support design reviews, prototype builds, testing, and production launches
  • .Resolve design issues and implement engineering changes while ensuring compliance with automotive standards
  • .Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and ensure designs meet quality, durability, and safety requirements

.Required Qualification

  • sBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • .Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive chassis design
  • .Mandatory expertise in CATIA V5/V6 for 3D modeling and drafting
  • .Strong understanding of chassis systems, sheet metal, castings, weldments, and manufacturing processes
  • .Experience with GD&T, DFMEA, and engineering change management
  • .Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

.Preferred Skill

  • sExperience working with OEM automotive product development
  • .Familiarity with PLM tools such as Teamcenter or ENOVIA
  • .Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and chassis validation processes is a plus
