Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Maintenance Technician in New Albany, OH. This role serves as a mechanically and electrically inclined Maintenance Technician responsible for the upkeep and repair of onsite industrial equipment, including generators and pumps. The ideal candidate functions as a skilled handyman with specific experience in engine maintenance, routine servicing, and industrial equipment operation.

Pay: $23 to $26 Per Hour BOE

Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • Forklift Operator Certification

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on generators and industrial pumps to ensure consistent operation.
  • Execute engine-related tasks including spark plug replacements and scheduled oil changes.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across various site equipment and machinery.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential failures and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Operate forklifts and Lulls safely to move materials, equipment, and components for maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, service reports, and equipment history.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to complete mechanical repairs and facility handyman tasks.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA safety standards and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with site teams to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, industrial mechanic, or mechanically inclined handyman.
  • Direct experience performing oil changes and engine maintenance on generators or similar equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot pumps and motors.
  • Required experience operating a forklift in an industrial or construction environment.
  • Previous experience operating a Lull or telehandler is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance schedules.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to work the duration of the contract in New Albany, OH.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must possess the dexterity of hands and fingers to handle small engine components and tools.
  • Ability to work in varied environments, including mechanical rooms and outdoor settings.
  • Must be able to see and distinguish different colors for electrical wiring tasks.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $23 to $26 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
