Essential Functions:

• Design, develop, andmaintaincloud-native applications using AWS services, ensuring performance, scalability, and security best practices.

• Implement serverless and container-based solutions on AWS.

• Develop andoptimizeAPIs using API Gateway, AWS AppSync, and/orGraphQL.

• Build and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using AWS CDK, Terraform, and/or CloudFormation.

• Improve reliability and observability by implementing logging,monitoring, and alerting with AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and third-party tools.

• OptimizeAWS workload performance and cost by leveraging autoscaling,caching, and serverless best practices.

• AdoptAI-assistedtools and practicesacross the SDLC, includingAIgovernance, enablement, and value tracking.

Other Functions:

• Thrive in ambiguous environments through design docs, dependency mapping, cross-team influence, vendor collaboration, and secure delivery underregulated-dataconstraints.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding DevOps, security, and product managementto deliver high-quality solutions.

• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

• Stay up to date on AWS advancements and industry trends to continuously improve cloud solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

• 5+yearsof hands-on experience in software development, with at least 3 yearsfocused on AWS-native development.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field,required.

• Hands-on experience with serverless computing, container orchestration, and cloud automation.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelinesusing AWSCodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectureusing SNS, SQS, andEventBridge.

• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases(RDS, DynamoDB, or Aurora).

• Solid problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in cloud-native solutions.

Preferred:

• Deepexpertisein AWS-native cloud technologies to design, develop, andoptimizescalable cloud applications.
• Extensive experience in building distributed, high-performance applications,leveragingAWS services such as Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, and more.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to design scalable solutions for complex business needs.
• Abilityto foster a sense of purpose among the team and create a culture of transparency with clear accountabilities and metrics

• Foster innovation and high agency while converting business and architecture intent into technical designs, integration contracts, and quality controls.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and with business stakeholders.
