Columbus, OH
Details: Cardiothoracic Surgery
Start Date: March 7, 2022
End Date: December 30, 2022
Clinic + Call Required
Cardiothoracic surgical procedures, i.e., CABG, AAA repair, lung resection, vein harvesting, etc.
-Full time coverage needed M-F for 8 hours onsite and 24 hr weekend call. The provider will also take evening call.
Travel/Lodging/Rental Car Provided
-Temp Privileges ARE Available
-How many Patients will Locum see per day 5-8 inpatient,
-Is there rounding? Yes
-Avg patients they round on? 5-8 inpatient rounding
-How many calls do they get while on call? M-F Beeper: 2-3
Weekend 24 hr call: 2-4 hours of rounding daily and then they receive 2-5 calls per day.
-How many hours does it take to Round? 2-4
-How many times do they get called back in a 24 hr shift? 0-2It will be 24-hour call.
Physician will be required to do electronic dictation and will need basic computer knowledge to access patient charts, X-rays, and lab results.
EMR: EPIC
Provider will be required to attend nine hours of electronic medical records training with both programs. Additional orientation will be scheduled to introduce provider to available resources and people.
Also, will be required to undergo a drug screen (urinalysis), TB screen and review immunization records (provide prior to start of assignment).
Provider will be expected to be current (according to GMG documentation policies and medical center bylaws) with all patient charts BEFORE hours will be approved for payment
Is there support staff? 1) Clinic M-F_ 1 APP and RN 2) 24/hr call_ 1 APP
What type of Surgeries or Procedures do they have to do
Call Cardiothoracic except transplant+ Vascular is a plus but not required
