Slate Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Critical Care Float for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.

Description

Join a high-acuity Critical Care Float Pool as a Travel ICU RN in Columbus, OH. This 17-week assignment offers the opportunity to work across multiple intensive care units, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, MICU, CVICU, and Cardiology. Nurses will float based on staffing needs and patient acuity while caring for complex adult patients, including transplant and post-cardiac surgery patients.

Highlights

  • 17-week travel assignment
  • Night shift: 3x12s (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
  • 1:2 patient ratio
  • Critical Care ICU Float Pool
  • Float across multiple ICU specialties
  • Exposure to Neuro ICU, SICU, MICU, CVICU, and Cardiology
  • Transplant patient population: Kidney, Liver, Lung, and Heart
  • Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
  • EPIC charting required
  • Must be available to extend contract through January 2, 2027

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
  • Current acute care ICU experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
  • EPIC experience required
  • Ventilator management experience
  • IV start experience
  • Telemetry experience
  • Experience with central lines, arterial lines, and PICC lines
  • Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips
  • Comfortable caring for ventilated patients and managing complex critical care conditions
  • NIHSS is a hard-stop requirement
