We have an immediate opening for a Chemical / “Production Engineer.” This position will be based out of our Columbus, Ohio plant. Responsibilities will include supporting our Columbus, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan facilities.

Summary:

Capital Resin Corporation is seeking a Production Engineer in our Engineering Department. Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting the overall engineering, design, and safe operations & efficiencies of the production systems.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing production support and technical expertise to the assigned process system including investigating production related issues such as troubleshooting product quality, extended periods of unplanned downtime, and equipment deficiencies.
  • Identifying cost reduction and reliability opportunities.
  • Providing support to quality and R&D teams on related issues such as evaluating process historian data, new product implementation, and participating in audits.
  • Developing, improving, and maintaining required PSM (Process Safety Management) documentation of assigned process systems
  • Analyzing long term process equipment reliability based on plant historical data and process metrics.
  • Providing engineering support to contractors and CRC maintenance for equipment repairs, modifications, and new installations.
  • Assisting as an engineering resource for the development of new products and the improvement/optimization of existing products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field will be considered.
  • Candidates should have 5 - 10+ years chemical plant experience in an engineering role, internship or co-op experience will also be considered.
  • PSM (Process Safety Management) experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Office, AutoCad and/or AutoCad LT experience.
