B&N CADD Technician Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings using CADD software under direction of senior designers and engineers
  • Collaborate with engineers to support the development of detailed drawings for construction plans from engineering notes, sketches, markups, and other reference materials
  • Ensure that all documentation meets client standards, project specifications, and regulatory standards
  • Provide valuable support on projects across various regions
  • Gain exposure to diverse transportation design standards and practices
  • Support the growth of Transportation CADD team as a company resource for roadway, traffic, drainage and other discipline production efforts

Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Vocational school, associate degree, or certificate in CADD technology, drafting, civil engineering technology, or related field, preferred
  • 0 - 2 years of experience with CADD drafting
  • Familiarity with at least one CADD platform (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads) as well as proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Willingness to learn new CADD platforms as needed
  • Basic understanding of civil design concepts, especially in transportation
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
