B&N CADD Technician Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings using CADD software under direction of senior designers and engineers
- Collaborate with engineers to support the development of detailed drawings for construction plans from engineering notes, sketches, markups, and other reference materials
- Ensure that all documentation meets client standards, project specifications, and regulatory standards
- Provide valuable support on projects across various regions
- Gain exposure to diverse transportation design standards and practices
- Support the growth of Transportation CADD team as a company resource for roadway, traffic, drainage and other discipline production efforts
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required. Vocational school, associate degree, or certificate in CADD technology, drafting, civil engineering technology, or related field, preferred
- 0 - 2 years of experience with CADD drafting
- Familiarity with at least one CADD platform (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads) as well as proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Willingness to learn new CADD platforms as needed
- Basic understanding of civil design concepts, especially in transportation
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
