Job description

About You

You’re not just good at your job—you own it. You don’t wait to be told what to do next; you see what needs to be done and jump in. You love solving complex problems, thrive when juggling multiple tasks, and have the technical chops to make systems work in harmony. You're energized by a challenge, even when the path forward isn’t entirely clear.

You’re also someone who:

  • Loves Jesus and aligns with LifeWise's mission
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Has a knack for taking technical language and explaining it in plain English
  • Enjoys collaborating with a team but can work independently without missing a beat
About the Job

We’re looking for a gospel-centered, technically skilled Systems Engineer / Developer to join our IT team in a hybrid role based out of our Hilliard, OH office. You’ll work primarily in Salesforce and help integrate, automate, and maintain the various systems that keep LifeWise running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Systems and Automation
  • Design, build and optimize automations within Salesforce (Flows, Apex, Lightning Web Components, validation rules, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes and increase operational efficiency
  • Support data integrity through validation, deduplication and governance practices
  • Contribute to system architecture decisions with scalability and sustainability in mind
  • Ensure automations are scalable, maintainable and well-documented
Development and Integrations
  • Develop and maintain custom code to support integrations between Salesforce and external systems (APIs, middleware, etc.)
  • Build and enhance web-based solutions (Web tech stack, forms, custom tools)
  • Manage data flows between systems, ensuring accuracy and reliability
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting, auditing and data correction
Troubleshooting and Collaboration
  • Serve as primary contact for daily inquiries, as an escalation point for Solutions Specialists and support senior/executive leadership requests
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system issues across multiple platforms
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes, not just quick patches
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address risks
  • Partner with internal teams to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Clearly communicate timelines, trade-offs and technical constraints
  • Document systems, processes, and solutions for long-term maintainability
Qualifications
  • A mature personal Christian faith consistent with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
  • 3+ years of Salesforce experience, including admin-level capabilities and Apex development
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following: PHP, JavaScript, ASP.NET, jQuery, or similar
  • Experience building and maintaining integrations using APIs or middleware tools
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts and experience solving technical problems quickly
  • Solid SQL query skills
  • Excellent communication abilities, including translating tech-speak into plain English
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data architecture and governance best practices
  • Working knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and common integration patterns
  • Experience with web server solutions such as Astro, Cloudflare, Supabase and other CMS tools
  • Understanding of DevOps practices (version control, deployment processes, sandbox management)
  • Proven success operating in a high-growth or startup-like environment
Salary and Benefits
  • From $75,000 per year
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for qualified employees
  • Retirement plan, including employer match
  • Unlimited PTO for qualified employees

LifeWise Academy's hiring practices and EEO Statement are fully in compliance with both federal and state law.
