Full-Time | Monday-Friday

Consolidated Employer Services (CES) is a fast-growing ASO organization based in Columbus, Ohio. We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Client Specialist to join our Payroll Department. This is an on-site, client-facing payroll position supporting multiple employers and ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing.
Job Summary
The Payroll Client Specialist is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, payroll reporting, and ongoing client support. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience working in payroll systems within an ASO environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls for multiple clients
• Enter, review, and maintain accurate payroll data and records
• Run payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate with clients via email and phone regarding payroll inquiries
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors on payroll issues
• Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention
• Follow payroll procedures, policies, and compliance standards
• Manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Required Qualifications
4+ years of payroll experience (PEO or ASO experience preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of payroll systems and payroll processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Experience handling multiple clients and payroll schedules
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the ASO industry preferred
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Experience working with payroll compliance and reporting
Compensation & Benefits
• Salary range: $50,000 - $56,000 per year
