Our Columbus, Ohio location is seeking a DC Team Member - Outbound responsible for fulfilling and shipping customer orders within a distribution center environment. We offer a climate-controlled, small-team environment where you rarely have to work weekends!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)
  • Conducts product inspections, follows established safety procedures, and maintains productivity and accuracy while transporting merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment throughout the distribution center.
  • Pulls products accurately and efficiently from stock for customer orders as pick lists are printed. Ensures orders are filled with products with the earliest expiration dates first.
  • Carefully packs orders ensuring product matches customer invoice, quantities are correct, and all proper brochures and materials are included.
  • Ensures products ships in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations, which include, but are not limited to, proper labeling, packaging, and logging of all products classified as hazardous materials, including limited quantities. Ensures manifest documents are accurate and uses the most economical shipping method available.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to operate powered industrial equipment - including order pickers, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks - to safely and efficiently perform order fulfillment, replenishment, shipping, and distribution activities.
  • Able to perform the physical and administrative tasks associated with shipping, distribution, and order fulfillment. Reviews orders, locates and processes inventory using an RF scanner, verifies the accuracy of goods against invoices and shipping documentation, prepares products for shipment, and packages orders to ensure safe, accurate, and timely delivery.
  • Maintains required shipping records and documentation while adhering to company policies and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and understand English to effectively read product descriptions, labels, shelves, and other product documents.
  • Ability to understand basic math to ensure accurate product quantities.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts).

  • Must be flexible to work mandatory overtime hours during normal workweek as needed to ensure timely customer delivery.
  • Ability to lift and transport 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50-70 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk on concrete for the duration of the shift and complete tasks that include bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • May occasionally require working in a cooler environment of 35°- 46° F.
