Job description

As a Material Handler - Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in supporting the supply chain operations by efficiently handling, moving, and managing materials within the facility to ensure smooth production and distribution processes.

You will report directly to our supervisor and you’ll work out of our Urbana, OH location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the overall efficiency and productivity of the supply chain by ensuring timely and accurate material handling, contributing to meeting customer demand and supporting manufacturing operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within the facility according to established procedures.

  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move materials to designated locations.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in cycle counts to support inventory accuracy.

  • Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of materials.

  • Identify and report any discrepancies or issues related to material handling and storage.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Experience in material handling within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

  • Knowledge of safe operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.

  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory control software is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols rigorously.

  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials safely.

  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory software.
