  • Experienced-level position (L3 rate).
  • Focused on durability analysis within the CAE team.
  • Openings are available on the crash safety side, with an additional opening supporting testing-related activities.
  • Team: FR3 (Frame Research / Reliability Team).

Required Experience

  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant CAE durability experience preferred.
  • Experience with:
  • ANSA (pre-processing)
  • Abaqus (solver/software)
  • nCode and MetaPost (post-processing)
  • Strong background in durability analysis.



BS Degree in ME/AERO. Minimum of 6+ years of industry experience as CAE analyst and specific solver software usage depending on department specialty area. Minimum of 5 years of experience using pre-processor / post-processor / solver tools (ANSA / META / Hyperworks / Abaqus) for complex vehicle system level CAE model construction, visualization, and analysis. Related advanced degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience.


Job responsibilities will include:

- Construction of high quality FE meshes and models of complete body & chassis subsystems and components.

- Conduct non-linear ABAQUS FE solutions for fatigue and strength evaluation.

- Conduct nCode fatigue post-processing to evaluate fatigue life.

- Clear, confident presentation and documentation of engineering conclusions.

- Lead research activities to develop new and improve existing CAE methods.

- Occasional test validation and investigations related to FE models and test requirements.

- When performance concerns arise from CAE validation, the candidate will be responsible for developing appropriate countermeasure plans and work closely with design departments for implementation.
