Civil Engineering Technician - 1449486

We are looking for Civil Technicians and Technologists

Reporting to the Project Manager or Team Lead, you will work on a wide range of land development projects performing CAD drafting and design work. This role primarily involves carrying out design and drafting assignments related to Civil 3D and AutoCAD within a project team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Focus on Subdivision and Site Plan AutoCAD designs.
• Assist in developing AutoCAD designs for subdivision infrastructure and site plans (Site grading, storm sewers, water mains, service plans, land development).
• Knowledge of current requirements of the Conservation and Municipal Regulatory authorities, as well as utility contractors, site preparation works contractors, and sewer and watermain contractors - for subdivision and site plan designs.
• Assist the team in drafting work in accordance with Client and Municipal design/drafting standards.

Skills and Experience

• A one-year CAD certificate obtained from a college or technical school, or a comparable combination of training and experience.
• CAD design experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills.
• High proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work.
• Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Ability to accurately interpret redlines and direction.
• Strong organization and time management skills.

• The client pays overtime over and above the 37.5 hours of the normal weekly hours. Over 40 hours is paid time and a half. Saturday hours always paid time and a half.
