Eramosa, a CIMA + Company, is looking for an IT/OT Technical Project Lead with experience in industrial networking. Eramosa/CIMA work with clients in the Water, Wastewater, Renewable Energy, Utility, Transit and Mining sectors.
Working with other members of our IT/OT communications teams, you will champion the delivery of high-quality IT/OT communications projects that meet or exceed client expectations and deliver planned profits. You will also be a strong safety proponent/leader for our safety policies and our culture of caring.
In addition to delivering projects, you would be involved in various IT/OT communication-based consulting and design projects where you will leverage your technical expertise and experience to contribute to the design and consulting deliverables.
Primary Responsibilities
- Project management and delivery of IT/OT communication-based projects
- Leverage experience to analyze the client’s needs and recommend solutions
- Managing, planning, and organizing work with technical teams in the delivery of project deliverable requirements, including scope, fee, schedule, quality, health and safety, risk management, and change management plans
- Provide technical oversight on projects
- Track project progress and financial performance
- Prepare/review project report and documentation
- Developing, mentoring, and empowering the project team, including junior staff
- Maintaining regular and effective communication with clients
- Providing support to business development and strategic initiatives, including preparation of proposals
- Design network architectures (LAN/WAN) in line with current needs and best practices
- Review existing network architectures and recommend solutions
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science program from an accredited post-secondary institute (or a related graduate degree from an accredited post-secondary institute)
- Significant experience in industrial OT networking environment including IT/OT convergence
- 10+ years experience in IT/OT Communications/Networking role, including 4 in a lead role
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CCDE, RCDD, DCDC
- Demonstrated success and expertise in project planning, execution and management.
- Previous experience designing and implementing network architecture (LAN/WAN), server, physical, virtual and cloud
- Expert level knowledge in working with a variety of communication media including copper, fibre, radio, cellular
- Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary project team environment in preparing conceptual and detailed communication/network design drawings, specifications and reports; contract documents; and, approvals applications
- Strong technical writing skills demonstrated through experience in writing reports and proposals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Works well under pressure in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
- Highly meticulous nature, strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Job task planning and organizing
- Experience mentoring junior staff is considered an asset
- Knowledge in the following areas would be considered an asset:
- Backup and recovery as well disaster recovery solutions
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and solutions
- Knowledge of cloud computing environments, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS
- PLC and SCADA systems
- Wi-Fi, microwave, and other wireless networking technologies
- Industrial networking protocols (OPC, AMQP, MQTT, REST/JSON Interface)
