Machinist- Manual and CNC
Barrhead Machine and Welding Ltd. has been part of the Barrhead Community and surrounding areas for over 65 years. While recently, Barrhead Machine and Welding Ltd. has been operating under new ownership and has brought in a new management attitude that is willing to learn and grow as a business and a part of the community.
Barrhead Machine and Welding Ltd. is looking to add a full-time Machinist (Manual/CNC) to join our team in the Machine shop, who encourages a positive attitude, appreciates a fast-paced environment and wiling to learn and grow with us.
We are looking for someone who can:
o Perform machinist duties as specified by procedures, blueprints, work orders and oral instruction.
o Implement various techniques on horizontal Lathes, Radial Arm Drills, Milling Machines, operation of CNC equipment (Mills and Lathes)
o Minimum 3 years of recent machining experience; journeyperson certification or apprenticeship would be an asset
o Minimum 3 years of recent experience operating horizontal Lathes and Radial Arm Drills, Milling Machines
o Previous experience with CNC vertical and horizontal Mills and CNC Horizontal Lathes an asset
o Must be able to understand salvage specifications and related technical documentation with accurate documentation and measuring skills
o Must be able to work in a team environment without supervision
o Ability to lift and handle material up to and including 50lbs
o Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner in all aspects of the organizations' policies and procedures
o Exceptional communication, verbal and written
o Has a passion for organization and a great attention to detail
