Event Security Specialist - 6-month Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Security Specialist to join our team at Control Risks. As the Site Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' events.

This position is a 6-month role.

Responsibilities:

• Support Client event security team in the execution of safe secure and successful events, ranging from large internal (non-public) Client events to large marquee public events
• Conduct desktop or in-person assessment of venues in Toronto/Toronto area, with the possibility of conducting some limited assessments at other locations in Canada
• Provide security requirements with regards to floor plan design for different events
• Develop event security protocols, in collaboration with Client and vendor stakeholder groups
• Develop event-specific issues management playbook
• Where feasible and at the discretion of Client, support the build out of elements of the broader corporate program, including but not limited to executive protection and travel risk management
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
• 5-7 years of experience in government, corporate security or a similar role
• Event security or close protection experience
• Ability to understand and mitigate threat-related considerations in various event settings
• Ability to provide measured and timely guidance under pressure
