This is a unique opportunity to join one of the largest oral surgery practices in Ontario as a digital and restorative expert.  CVOS is consistently pushing the boundaries of leading edge dental care and we are searching for an self-motivated, experienced, and passionate lab technician to support our team of experienced oral surgeons.  This individual will be an essential part of our team and mission to offer patients the best-in-class experience and treatment outcomes through immediate dental solutions.  The successful candidate will help us establish and utilize a robust digital ecosystem within our surgical practice by bringing together elements of guided surgery, 3D printing, CAD/CAM design for temporary prostheses, and provide chairside restorative support during live surgeries. 

 

Duties:

-             Planning designing and fabrication of surgical guides in collaboration with oral surgeons

-             Utilize guided surgery software to digitally plan implant cases, design surgical guides, and 3D print the for implant surgeries

-             Design and 3D print temporary implant restorations using CAD/CAM software, including crowns, bridges, and dentures

-             Operate and maintain 3D printers, dental mills, and other digital and restorative equipment

-             Take part in surgeries to ensure proper fitting of surgical guides and provide chairside restorative support during insertion of temporary restorations

-             Carry out chairside conversions of overdentures to temporary implant-retained dentures for full arch rehabilitation cases

-             Provide restorative support to referring dentists via phone or virtual methods

-             Support CVOS continuing education, including journal clubs and hands-on education events for current and potential referring dentists

 

Requirements:

  • Dental technology diploma, Canadian Registered Dental Technologist (RDT)
  • Proven experience in all aspects of dental technology including crown and bridge, implants, dentures and removables
  • Strong knowledge of 3D printing workflows
  • Proven work experience using CAD/CAM.
  • Strong communication abilities for efficient collaboration and case planning with surgeons
  • Experience with full mouth implant-based rehabilitation, including:  tissue-supported, implant-retained (removable) overdentures and implant-supported, implant-retained (fixed hybrid) dentures.

 

Assets:

  • Registered Denturist (DD) designation
  • Experience with guided surgery software (coDiagnostiX)
  • Specific familiarity with Dental Wings (DWOS) CAD/CAM software
