Purpose of the Role:


As a Manufacturing Specialist, you will ensure efficient and effective production processes within our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing systems and procedures to enhance productivity, quality, and safety. You will collaborate closely with our Product Design Engineering, Quality, Production, and Maintenance teams to bring components from initial design through prototype development into full-scale production.


The incumbent will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality products, meeting customer requirements and business objectives. This will lead to world-class, high-volume manufacturing plants for Svante as we expand to meet the global demand for Carbon Dioxide capture products (Structured Adsorbent Beds – SAB).

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:


    • You have a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field.
    • You have proven experience as a manufacturing engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
    • You have strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.
    • You have proficiency in process optimization, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • You are proficient in CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks or similar) and familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.


    Bosun Skills and Qualifications:


    • You have experience using practices such as Lean Six Sigma, D/P FMEA, Design of Experiments, Value Stream Mapping, SPC (including Mini-Tab), Kaizen, 5S, and others.
    • You have knowledge of coating and web handling processes.


    What Success looks like in this role:


    • You will develop and optimize manufacturing processes: Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality. 
    • You will lead validation activities for new and existing manufacturing processes and equipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. 
    • You will drive a culture of continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing, statistical process control (Six Sigma), and other methodologies, to identify and eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency.
    • You will collaborate with production and planning teams to develop production schedules, capacity analysis, and resource allocation plans. 
    • You will investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive actions to address quality or process problems.
