Job description

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to develop menus and create new dishes
- Monitor food quality and consistency to ensure customer satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to budgetary guidelines and control costs

Skills:
- Strong experience in restaurant management, preferably in a kitchen manager role
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive dining experience
- In-depth knowledge of the food industry, including current trends and best practices
- Ability to conduct interviews and select qualified kitchen staff members
- Familiarity with hotel kitchen operations is a plus
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and knowledgeable about various cuisines
- Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and procedures
- Proven ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team of kitchen employees
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
