Sr. Network Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Network Engineer with architectural skills to design, manage and maintain the enterprise Hybrid Cloud network infrastructure.  If you enjoy working with modern enterprise technologies in a medium-paced environment, solving complex problems, and are a dynamic routing guru, this is the job for you. This role is for someone who enjoys network design, architecture, planning, embraces new technology, and feels strongly not only about building large networks but also complex migrations and scaling network infrastructure to next level. You will evaluate and implement new solutions, as well as serve as an escalation point for support issues and service requests. This is an in-office position.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and manage routers, switches, wireless access points, security appliances, voice, collaboration, video teleconferencing
• Assist the server team with virtual and physical network changes
• Perform business continuity/disaster recovery planning/testing
• Perform Proof of Concept and/or integration testing
• Work with vendors on product design enhancements to integrate new technologies
• Conduct network impact analysis, modeling, and network capacity planning
• Perform software/hardware device upgrades, network equipment configurations/provisioning
• Design and implement network security technologies and products
• Work with vendors and service providers
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, find root cause
• Diagnose Azure Cloud and reduce operational costs,
• Manage optimization of network architecture

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

• Ticket Average Resolution Time – Total Resolution of all tickets / Number of Tickets
• Ticket Average Response Time – Difference between Customer Call Time from Agent Response Time
• SLA’s Met vs Not Met
• User Feedback Score > 80%
• Ticket Volume Request vs. Backlog

Qualification Requirements

• A solid understanding of network services and protocols such as DHCP, DNS, SNMP, QoS, ICMP, LACP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, SDWAN and IPsec
• A good understanding of Cisco AnyConnect, IPSEC, DNS
• Experience working with MFA, Certificates, Application Gateway
• Experience with Domains, Sub-Domains, and Active Directory
• Azure network routing and firewalls
• Virtualization Experience (AWS, Azure, VMWare)
• An understanding of virtualization, especially regarding VMware virtual network concepts
• Azure Cloud Network and Security
• MS Exchange / Office 365 Setup Users and Configuration
• A basic understanding of programing logic and/or scripting languages
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills

Educational Requirements 

• College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Science and/or 2 years equivalent work experience.
• Work Experience: 5-7 years of professional-level related business experience
• Proficient with Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, and other PC related tools
