$80,000 to $90,000 per year
The Finance Manager’s role is to oversee and report on the financial health of the company and ensure that all financial obligations are met with clients, trades and suppliers.
Primary Tasks & Expectations
- Complete general ledger accounting tasks including data entry
- Manage payroll and employee benefit administration
- Reconcile weekly and monthly time off accrual alongside payroll reports
- Perform accounts receivable functions
- Perform accounts payable functions for invoices, credit cards and business accounts
- Manage construction job costing and preparation of WIP reports
- Produce timely company financial statements, reports for the owner and general managers, and department reports
- Complete month-end reconciliations and reports
- Complete year-end reconciliations and closings
- Assist with business tax return
- Oversee sales tax tracking on jobs
- Manage Trade Agreements and related insurance certificates for materials and subcontractors
- Manage responses to Audit requests, both internal and external
- Perform financial forecasting (cash flow, P&L)
- Complete other finance reconciliations and projects as needed
Experience
1. Degree in Accounting or Finance
2. 3+ years in financial management role
3. Construction industry accounting (Sage 100 Contractor) software a plus
4. Construction job costing and WIP preparation experience
5. Knowledge of General Ledger accounting and GAAP principals
6. Cash management
7. Experience in running payroll and payroll reporting
8. Financial analysis experience
9. Budgeting and forecasting
