Job Title: Financial Analyst

Department: Finance & Accounting

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Purpose: We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with sales reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will possess the skills necessary to dissect financial data, generate precise reports, and offer valuable insights to support decision-making within our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting practices, sales reporting, financial modeling, and the ability to articulate complex financial information effectively.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Produce comprehensive financial reports regularly, emphasizing key performance indicators and financial metrics, as well as ad hoc analysis as requested by stakeholders, such as the CEO, CFO, investor group, and others in the company. Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data for both the periodic reporting and ad hoc analysis. Analysis will include identification of trends, discrepancies, and potential areas for improvement.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Compile budgets and forecasts by scrutinizing historical data and working with company leaders to understand future revenue, cost and KPI trends. Investigate and explain variances between actual financial results and budgeted or forecasted figures. Work closely with stakeholders to understand underlying factors and implement corrective actions when necessary.

3. Sales Reporting and CRM Management: Provide simple to use sales reporting to our sales department alerting them to progress against plan goals. Working collaboratively with our technology group, establish and maintain the structure of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Configure data fields, workflows, and reporting to align with sales and financial objectives. Collaborate with sales teams to understand evolving needs, implement sales reporting revisions, and ensure accurate and insightful data capture.

4. Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to bolster decision-making processes and scenario analysis. Employ advanced Excel skills to forecast future financial performance appropriately.

5. Special Projects: Engage in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management. Contribute to cross-functional teams to drive process enhancements and achieve organizational objectives.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles;

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP);

- Sound understanding of GAAP principles and financial statements;

- Experience in sales reporting and CRM systems;

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to stakeholders;

- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on data reasonableness;

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

· The role primarily involves sitting at a desk or workstation and extensive use of computer systems, including keyboarding and viewing a computer monitor.
