Inventory Analyst (Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Clerks)

Location: Chula Vista, CA

Job Summary

The Inventory Analyst will support the Inventory Department within the Chula Vista Spares Distribution Center. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, processing inventory-related documentation, resolving inventory discrepancies, and supporting efficient warehouse operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

The Inventory Analyst will work closely with warehouse personnel, internal customers across Spares support functions, International Trade Compliance, external customers, and Spares leadership to ensure inventory requirements are accurately identified, processed, and fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities

• Process inventory and warehouse-related documents with high speed, accuracy, and attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory control activities.
• Investigate, identify, and resolve inventory discrepancies and accuracy issues.
• Troubleshoot technical and operational problems related to inventory control and warehouse processes.
• Assess product and inventory requirements based on customer specifications and operational needs.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams, internal Spares support groups, customers, International Trade Compliance, and leadership.
• Ensure proper recording, storage, handling, and movement of inventory in accordance with established procedures.
• Support inventory control activities such as cycle counts, physical inventory, reconciliation, and transaction accuracy.
• Follow established work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality requirements.
• Participate in company 5S and continuous improvement programs.
• Comply with all applicable safety regulations, quality management systems, and good warehousing practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, efficiency, and warehouse processes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records related to inventory activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, material control, logistics, or distribution.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while working at a fast pace.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures, work instructions, and inventory documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with warehouse personnel, internal departments, customers, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WMS, ERP, or inventory management systems.
• Experience performing cycle counts, physical inventory, and inventory reconciliation.
• Experience in a spares, distribution, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or logistics environment.
• Knowledge of 5S, warehouse procedures, and quality management systems.
• Familiarity with International Trade Compliance processes is a plus.
• Experience working with inventory transactions, parts identification, material movement, and warehouse documentation.

Work Environment

This position operates within a high-volume Spares Distribution Center and requires frequent interaction with warehouse personnel and internal business partners. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, productivity, safety, and quality standards.
